Invitation to Kraftprovet 2026

WELCOME!

On Freday July 17, 2026 the 40th edition of the competition will be held in Trollhättan and we offer a unique experience in the lock and falls area. The competition is traditionally held in the start of the Water fall’s Days, which creates a fantastic party atmosphere in the city for three days. Along the entire course, you will be greeted by pleasant entertainment with lots of music.

As usual, we hope for several talented elite runners among all the positive and happy exercise runners who fight their way around the scenic course. A large crowd of spectators is usually present and it is easy to follow the runners as they pass bridges, locks and power plants on their way to the finish where the medal awaits.

As part of our 40th anniversary, we are introducing three new features: a special race for participants with disabilities, the Kraftprovet FunRun without timing, and the option to purchase this year’s T‑shirt when registering for any race.

  • Entry fees in several stages Entries can be registrated digitally until 1 hour before the start.
  • At early entry (until May 15) to Kraftprovet 11.6 km, a high-class functional T-shirt with the Kraftprovet logo is included in the entry fee.
  • At entry to other classes (until May 15) you can buy the T-shirt.
  • The T-shirt is distributed in connection with the distribution of BIBs at the start and finish area. Enter your shirt size in the registration form.
  • At entry before June 30, you will get a BIB with your first name. Entries after July 1 will get a normal BIB with Start number.
  • Dubbelprovet (the Double run) is for those of you who want to run both the Slussprovet (the Locks’ Race) and the Kraftprovet. The entry fee for the Slussprovet is reduced by SEK 100 for those of you who run the Dubbelprovet. Prize to the winner of the Dubbelprovet.
  • The silver medal at the Kraftprovet 11.6 km is aimed at runners who run faster than average (Elite exercisers). The aim is to have some time to strive for and then get proof that you are a really fast runner. Read more further down.

Elite Information
For seeding into the elite start group for the Kraftprovet 11.6 km race, qualifying performances must be submitted during registration. Only results from previous editions of Kraftprovet or other 10 km races will be considered. Any questions regarding the elite field or seeding should be directed to the Elite Coordinator at elit@kraftprovet.se.

Seeded runners will start at the front of the starting field and will receive a special race bib. Race bibs can be collected from the Elite Information Tent. Please refer to the event site map.

Elite runners may change in the Elite Tent, located behind the Elite Information Tent. Please refer to the event site map. Personal belongings may be stored there; however, the organizers accept no responsibility for valuables.

Please note: Elite runners compete under the same rules as all other participants. This means that personal assistance—such as having a coach or support person cycling alongside athletes on the course—is prohibited for safety and fair play reasons. Only race officials and individuals specifically authorized by the organizers are permitted on the course. Failure to comply with this rule may result in disqualification.

Personal water handoffs are permitted, provided that the coach remains stationary when handing over the water.

Race Bib Collection
Race bibs can be collected at the start and finish area at Hansenplatsen. Distribution opens on race day at 10:00 and closes 30 minutes before each race start.

The race bib contains the timing chip and must be worn unfolded on the chest. Don’t forget to pick up safety pins.

  • Elite Start Group: Yellow race bib (upgrading to the elite group may be arranged at the information tent during bib collection).
  • Dubbelprovet: Pink race bib, the same bib is used for both Slussprovet and Kraftprovet (if you received two regular bibs, exchange them for one pink bib at bib collection).

We recommend arriving early to avoid queues.
